
Publication Ethics
Betok: Journal of Management, Business, Economic, and Computer Science adheres to the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in all aspects of publication ethics, particularly research protocols and publication misconduct. Betok: Journal of Management, Business, Economic, and Computer Science adheres to COPE guidelines, which ensure high ethical standards for authors, editors, and reviewers.
Authors
- Authors certify that the material has not been previously published and that they have not provided the article to any other party.
- Authors must ensure the originality of their work and must properly cite the work of others according to an approved referencing format.
- Authors must not engage in plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
- An author should not in general publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
- Authors should make all data and details of their work available to the editor if there is any suspicion of data falsification or fabrication.
- Authors of articles should disclose potential conflicts of interest such as their role, research funding, consultancy fees, and intellectual property rights.
- When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
Editor
- The editor is responsible for every article published in Betok: Journal of Management, Business, Economic, and Computer Science.
- Editors should assist authors, if possible, to ensure their articles comply with the guidelines of Betok: Journal of Management, Business, Economics, and Computer Science.
- Editors can consult with other editors or reviewers when making a final decision on publication.
- Editors should objectively evaluate the manuscript for publication; Assess each based on its benefits without bias to the author's nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, religion, gender, seniority, or institutional affiliation.
- Editors should reject articles if there is a potential conflict of interest.
- Editors should ensure that documents sent to reviewers do not contain the author's personal information and vice versa.
- The editor's final decision must be communicated to the author in a timely manner and will be accompanied by a reviewer's comment, unless it contains offensive or defamatory comments.
- If the author has a well-founded objection to a particular individual reviewing their work, the editor should honor this request.
- The editor and all staff must guarantee the confidentiality of the submitted manuscript.
- Editors will be guided by the Publication Ethics Committee Guidelines (COPE Guidelines) if there are allegations of wrongdoing or wrongdoing that are disputed.
Reviewer
- Reviewers are required to comment on potential research, ethical, and publication misconduct if suspected.
- Reviews must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the authors is unacceptable. As reviewers, reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
- Reviewers should complete their work in a timely manner and should promptly notify the editor if they are unable to complete their work.
- Reviewers should respect the confidentiality of manuscripts.
- Reviewers should not accept manuscripts for review if they believe there is a potential conflict of interest between them and any of the authors.
- Reviewers should disclose to the editor any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
- Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.
